Laughter Lab Terms and Conditions of Ticket Purchase and Entry Version: 1.0 Effective date: 1 January 2026 1. About these Terms 1.1 These Terms and Conditions (the Terms) apply to every ticket purchased for, and every person's admission to, an event promoted by Laughter Lab (an Event). 1.2 Laughter Lab is a trading name of Gelos Network Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15714647, whose registered office is at 30 Fore Street, Totnes, Devon, TQ9 5RP (Laughter Lab, we, us or our). 1.3 Tickets may be sold through Ticket Cove or another authorised ticket agent. The ticket agent may have separate platform terms and a privacy notice. These Terms govern the contract between you and us for the Event itself. If there is a conflict concerning admission to or delivery of the Event, these Terms apply, except that nothing in these Terms excludes any rights or obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded. 1.4 By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, are legally capable of entering into a contract, and accept these Terms for yourself and for every person for whom you buy a ticket. You must make all members of your party aware of the provisions concerning admission, conduct, recording and safety. 1.5 The event listing, your order confirmation and any expressly stated event-specific conditions form part of the contract. Event-specific conditions prevail over these Terms only to the extent of a direct inconsistency. 2. Ordering and the Contract 2.1 An order is an offer to buy the selected ticket or tickets. A binding contract is formed when payment has been authorised and an order confirmation is issued, unless we or the authorised ticket agent notify you promptly of an obvious pricing, availability or technical error and refund all sums taken. 2.2 You are responsible for checking before completing the order that the Event, venue, date, time, ticket type, quantity and customer details are correct. You must notify the ticket agent promptly if you do not receive an order confirmation or discover an error. 2.3 Tickets remain subject to any stated capacity, sales limit and eligibility requirements. We may cancel tickets purchased through fraud, an unauthorised automated process, circumvention of a ticket limit, misuse of a discount or access code, or an obvious pricing or technical error. Where you acted honestly and reasonably, we will refund the amount paid for any ticket we cancel under this clause. 2.4 A ticket permits one admission to the specified Event, subject to these Terms. A ticket which has been copied, altered, cancelled, refunded or already scanned is invalid. If duplicate copies are presented, only the first valid scan will be admitted. 3. Prices and Fees 3.1 The total price payable, including mandatory booking or transaction fees, will be displayed before you place the order. Optional charges will be identified separately. 3.2 Except where these Terms or the law require a refund, booking fees, transaction fees, delivery charges and other charges are non-refundable once the relevant ticketing or delivery service has been supplied. 3.3 We are not responsible for fees or exchange-rate charges imposed independently by your bank, card issuer or payment provider. 4. No General Cooling-Off Right 4.1 Tickets for leisure events taking place on a specified date or during a specified period do not normally carry the statutory 14-day cancellation right applicable to some online purchases. 4.2 Subject to clauses 8 and 9 and your statutory rights, tickets cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded because you no longer wish or are unable to attend. This includes illness, isolation requirements, transport disruption, adverse weather affecting your journey, work commitments, mistaken purchase, a change in personal circumstances or failure to arrive on time. 5. Transfers and Resale 5.1 Unless an event listing states that a ticket is personalised or non-transferable, you may give or sell your ticket to another person for no more than the total price you paid for it. Any permitted recipient or buyer is bound by these Terms. 5.2 Tickets must not be resold in the course of a business, for profit, through an unauthorised commercial promotion or competition, bundled with other goods or services for commercial gain, or in breach of applicable ticket-resale law. 5.3 We may cancel a resold or transferred ticket only where a restriction in these Terms has been breached and cancellation is lawful and proportionate. We may require reasonable evidence of the original purchase or permitted transfer. Refunds, where due, will normally be made to the original purchaser using the original payment method. 6. Event Information, Line-ups and Changes 6.1 Unless the event listing expressly describes the Event as a solo performance, tour show or other performance by one specified artist, Laughter Lab comedy nights are mixed-bill comedy events. The inclusion of performers’ names in an Event title, description, artwork or advertising does not change the Event’s status as a mixed-bill comedy event or guarantee the appearance of any particular performer. 6.2 Line-ups are subject to change without penalty or refund. Performers, hosts, support acts, running orders, billing and anticipated set lengths may be changed at any time. We may substitute, add, remove or reorder any performer, including a named or headline performer, because of illness, emergency, travel disruption, professional commitments or any other operational or unforeseen circumstances. Such a change will not constitute cancellation, rescheduling or a material change to a mixed-bill comedy event. 6.3 We may make reasonable changes to the advertised start time, running time, content, format, room or seating arrangements where operationally necessary. We will use reasonable efforts to notify customers of significant changes using the contact details provided with the order. 6.4 Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights a customer may have where the essential nature of the Event is changed so substantially that the service supplied is fundamentally different from the service purchased. For a mixed-bill comedy event, the withdrawal, substitution or addition of one or more performers, including any named or headline performer, will not by itself amount to such a change. 6.5 Times stated are local times. Advertised end times are estimates and are not guaranteed. 7. Seating and Accessibility 7.1 Unless the event listing allocates a specific seat, admission is unreserved and seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Purchasing tickets together does not guarantee that a group can sit together. Sightlines and proximity to the stage, exits, facilities or other patrons will vary. 7.2 A reserved ticket entitles the holder to the seat shown, but we or the venue may move the holder to a reasonably comparable seat where required for safety, accessibility, production or operational reasons. If no reasonably comparable seat is available, we will offer an appropriate remedy, which may include a price adjustment, transfer or refund. 7.3 Customers who require a reasonable adjustment or have access requirements should contact us or the venue as early as reasonably possible using the contact details in the event listing or order confirmation. We will consider requests in accordance with applicable equality law. Venue accessibility varies and should be checked before travel. 7.4 Assistance dogs are welcome, subject to reasonable venue and safety arrangements. Other animals are not permitted unless expressly authorised in advance. 8. Cancellation and Rescheduling by Us 8.1 If we cancel an Event and do not reschedule it, the original purchaser will be entitled to a refund of the ticket price and any mandatory booking or transaction fees paid to us or collected on our behalf for that ticket, except for any separately identified optional service already fully supplied, to the extent permitted by law. 8.2 If we reschedule an Event or move it to a materially different venue, tickets will remain valid for the replacement Event. We will notify the original purchaser and provide a reasonable period in which to request a refund if they cannot or do not wish to attend the replacement Event. The notice will explain how and by when to request it. If no request is received by that deadline, the ticket will remain valid for the replacement Event, subject to your statutory rights. 8.3 A change is not a rescheduling merely because the advertised start time changes by a short period, the running time changes, or a performer or running order changes. Clause 6.4 continues to apply to a material change. 8.4 Refunds will be made to the original payment method where reasonably possible. We may require reasonable evidence of purchase. We are not responsible for passing a refund to a person who acquired a ticket from the original purchaser. 8.5 We are not responsible for travel, accommodation, childcare, subsistence, loss of earnings or other indirect or consequential costs incurred in connection with an Event being cancelled, rescheduled or changed, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded. 9. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control 9.1 We will not be in breach of contract or liable for delay, change or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. These may include severe weather, flood, fire, epidemic or pandemic, government action, national mourning, industrial dispute, venue unavailability, utility or telecommunications failure, transport disruption, civil disorder, terrorism, security threat, performer illness or emergency, or failure of a supplier despite reasonable precautions. 9.2 If such circumstances make the Event unsafe, unlawful or impracticable, we may suspend, curtail, relocate, reschedule or cancel it. Your refund rights will be determined under clause 8 and applicable law. Nothing in this clause permits us to retain payment where the law requires a refund for a service not supplied. 10. Admission, Age and Identification 10.1 The age restriction shown on the event listing applies. Unless stated otherwise, Laughter Lab Events are for persons aged 18 or over. We or the venue may require valid, original photographic identification and may refuse entry where age or identity cannot reasonably be verified. 10.2 Admission is subject to the lawful policies, licensing conditions and reasonable instructions of us, the venue and security staff. Security searches may be carried out as a condition of entry. Refusal to cooperate may result in refusal of admission without refund. 10.3 Prohibited items include illegal drugs, weapons, items reasonably considered dangerous, recording equipment intended for unauthorised recording, and any item prohibited by the venue or notified before entry. Items may be surrendered, stored where facilities exist, or removed from the premises as directed. 10.4 Re-entry is not guaranteed and may be refused unless expressly permitted by the venue. 11. Arrival and Latecomers 11.1 You are responsible for allowing enough time for travel, parking, ticket checks, security and seating. Door and show times are shown in the event listing or order confirmation. 11.2 Late admission is not guaranteed. To protect the performance and audience, latecomers may be held until a suitable break, seated in an alternative location or refused admission. Leaving during the performance may also affect re-entry. No refund is payable where admission or re-entry is refused for lateness, subject to our legal obligations, including reasonable adjustments. 12. Conduct and Removal 12.1 Comedy performances may contain adult language, challenging themes, audience interaction and material that some people find offensive. Subjective dissatisfaction with lawful performance content is not a ground for a refund. 12.2 You must behave safely and respectfully and must not disrupt the Event, harass or threaten any person, heckle persistently after being asked to stop, enter restricted areas, damage property, smoke or vape where prohibited, use or supply illegal drugs, or disregard reasonable safety or venue instructions. 12.3 We or the venue may refuse admission or remove any person where we reasonably believe this is necessary for safety, licensing, prevention of crime or disorder, protection of performers, staff or customers, or the proper enjoyment of the Event. This includes a person who appears dangerously intoxicated or whose conduct is abusive, discriminatory, disruptive or threatening. 12.4 No refund is payable to a person refused admission or removed because they breached these Terms or a lawful and reasonable venue requirement. Removal does not limit our right to recover the reasonable cost of loss or damage caused or to report suspected offences. 13. Alcohol 13.1 Alcohol may be sold only in accordance with licensing law and venue policy. Proof of age may be required under a Challenge 25 or equivalent policy. Service may be refused. Bringing alcohol into, or removing it from, a venue is prohibited unless the venue expressly permits it. 14. Photography, Audio and Video 14.1 Audience members must not photograph, film, livestream or make an audio recording of any performance without our prior express permission. Mobile devices must be silenced and used in a way that does not disturb others. We may require unauthorised material to be deleted where lawful and may refuse admission or remove a person for a serious or repeated breach. 14.2 We, the venue or authorised contractors may photograph, film or record an Event for security, evidential, archival, editorial and promotional purposes. Where an identifiable person is the focus of promotional content, we will use an appropriate lawful basis and provide any notice or obtain any consent required by data-protection law. Incidental audience inclusion may occur. 14.3 If you have a particular concern about being identifiable in promotional recording, notify a member of staff on arrival and we will take reasonable steps where practicable. Security systems, including CCTV, are governed by the relevant operator's privacy notice. 15. Personal Property and Venue Risks 15.1 You are responsible for your belongings. Items are brought to the Event at your own risk. Lost property will be handled under the venue's policy. 15.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory duty where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. 15.3 Subject to clause 15.2, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable, was caused by your breach or negligence, or relates to business use of a ticket purchased as a consumer. 16. Travel, Parking and External Services 16.1 You are responsible for checking the venue, date, door time, local travel conditions, parking restrictions and any venue information before travelling. We do not control transport, parking, accommodation, food, drink or other services supplied independently by third parties and are not responsible for their acts or omissions. 17. Complaints and Contact 17.1 Problems affecting your experience should, where practicable, be raised promptly with a member of staff so that there is a reasonable opportunity to address them. 17.2 Formal complaints or requests under these Terms should be sent using the contact details provided in the event listing or order confirmation. Please include the order number, Event, purchaser name and a clear description of the issue. Nothing in this clause limits your statutory rights or makes an on-the-night complaint a condition of pursuing a matter that could not reasonably have been raised then. 18. Personal Information 18.1 Personal information will be handled in accordance with the applicable privacy notice. We and the authorised ticket agent may use necessary order and attendance information to administer the booking, provide the Event, prevent fraud, protect safety, comply with law and communicate essential Event information. 18.2 Event-service communications are not marketing and may be sent where necessary to fulfil the contract. Marketing will be sent only where permitted by law, and marketing preferences can be changed independently of the booking. 19. General 19.1 If any provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, it will be treated as removed or limited only to the minimum extent necessary. The remaining provisions will continue in effect. 19.2 A delay in enforcing a right does not waive that right. 19.3 These Terms are between you and us. Except where the law provides otherwise, no other person has a right to enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. 19.4 We may update these Terms for future purchases. The version accepted when your contract was formed will apply to your order, except where a change is required by law or is expressly agreed with you. 20. Governing Law and Courts 20.1 These Terms and the contract are governed by the law of England and Wales. 20.2 If you live in England or Wales, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you live. Nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
