Privacy policy

Ticket Cove Ltd is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly and lawfully.

Last updated: 22 July 2026

Introduction

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and the rights available to you.

This privacy policy applies when you use the Ticket Cove website, purchase tickets, create an account or contact us for support.

1. Who we are

Ticket Cove Ltd provides a ticketing platform that helps customers discover events and purchase tickets, and helps event organisers create events, sell tickets and manage attendees.

For most personal information collected through Ticket Cove, Ticket Cove Ltd is the data controller. Where information is shared with an event organiser to manage a booking, the organiser may also be responsible for how that information is used.

2. Information we collect

When you use Ticket Cove, we may collect the following personal information:

  • Identity information, such as your name
  • Contact information, such as your email address and phone number where provided
  • Booking information, such as event details, ticket type, order history and payment status
  • Event attendance information, including ticket type, seat assignment, guest list status and entry records
  • Communications sent through Ticket Cove, including messages between customers and event organisers
  • Payment information processed by our payment providers. Ticket Cove does not store full payment card details
  • Technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device information and usage information

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Process and manage ticket bookings and deliver tickets
  • Provide customer and organiser account services
  • Support check in, guest lists and event attendance management
  • Respond to support requests and platform enquiries
  • Protect Ticket Cove, our users and the platform against fraud and misuse
  • Improve and maintain our services
  • Meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations

4. Lawful basis for processing

We use your personal information only where we have a lawful reason to do so. The lawful basis depends on how and why the information is being used.

  • Contract: to process ticket purchases, deliver tickets and provide account services
  • Legal obligation: to meet accounting, tax, regulatory and record keeping requirements
  • Legitimate interests: to operate, secure and improve Ticket Cove, prevent fraud and provide support, where those interests are not overridden by your rights
  • Consent: where you choose to receive optional marketing or similar communications and we rely on consent for that purpose

5. Payment processing

Payments are processed securely by third party providers such as Stripe. Ticket Cove does not store or have access to your full payment card details.

6. Sharing your information

When you book an event, we share the information needed to manage your booking with the relevant event organiser. The organiser may use that information to deliver the event, manage entry, provide customer support and meet its legal obligations.

Event organisers may act as independent controllers of the customer information they receive through Ticket Cove. Their use of that information may also be governed by their own privacy information and legal responsibilities.

We may also share personal information with trusted service providers who help us operate Ticket Cove, such as payment processors, email delivery providers and hosting providers. These providers may only use the information as instructed by Ticket Cove.

7. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy.

  • Booking and transaction records are typically retained for up to 6 years to meet accounting, tax and legal requirements
  • Account information is retained while your account remains active and for a reasonable period afterwards where needed for support, dispute resolution or legal compliance
  • Support communications are retained for as long as needed to resolve enquiries and maintain an accurate record of our interactions
  • Technical and security logs are retained for limited periods appropriate to security monitoring and platform integrity

8. Data security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including secure hosting, access controls and trusted third party providers. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. International transfers

Some service providers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we use appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.

10. Your rights

Under data protection law, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Request deletion in certain circumstances
  • Restrict how your information is used in certain circumstances
  • Object to certain uses of your information
  • Receive certain information in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent where consent is being relied upon

11. Cookies

Ticket Cove uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform. For more detail, see our cookie policy.

Ticket Cove may include links to third party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites.

13. Complaints
