Irreverent Reverend Maggy Whitehouse brings The God Whisperer to the SU Lounge at Plymouth University Students’ Union. Maggy’s remarkable journey through broadcasting, religion and rebellion opens Saturday’s programme with stories drawn from a life less ordinary. Irreverent Reverend Maggy Whitehouse heads out on a journey through the trials and tribulations of a self-confessed trollop who became an heretical vicar. Including stories from TV and Radio in the 70s to 2000s: of celebrities, friendships, laughter, misconduct, disasters and Maggy's nemesis, The National Viewers and Listeners Association founder, Mary Whitehouse, This performance is part of Plymouth Comedy Festival, taking place across the city from 5 to 7 February 2027. Maggy Whitehouse joins a diverse programme of stand-up, storytelling, improv, talks and workshops taking place in venues throughout Plymouth.
